23 weeks!
How Far along: 23 weeks, 4 days
Baby size: According to my ticker, she weighs about a pound and is about a foot long.
Total weight gain: +7 pounds.
Maternity clothes: Yep.
Sleep: Mmmm, sleep. I still need a pillow between my knees. I like sleep.
Best Moment this week: Wiggles from my girl. Hanging out with friends on New Year's Night where we had lots of food and fun while James was at Grandma's house. Ooh, and James started calling me "Mommy" instead of "Mama." It kills me.
Movement: Yep :-) Lots of it.
Gender: GIRL!
Labor signs: N/A.
Belly button: In but shallow and tiny.
Cravings: Meat. And randomly, fruit flavored licorice things.
What I miss: Bending over, being able to use my abs/sit up from reclining without looking like a stranded turtle. Being able to carry James around, especially when he's sick and feels crummy and just wants Mommy to hold him.
Stretch Marks: Same 3 that sometimes are visible at an angle, and my old ones.
What is different this time around: Pretty much everything. I think that about sums it up.
What I am looking forward to this week: Appointment on Friday, where I get to do my 1 hour glucose test. *Joy*

Hush Puppy is....
A GIRL! We are over the moon happy that she's healthy. She's a beautiful little girl (at least, from what we can tell on the ultrasound pictures) and looks quite different from her brother. Lilah will be a wonderful addition to our family, and James is already very excited about his "wiggly little sister."
I keep mentally "squee"-ing that we're actually having a daughter. It's amazing!

Things James Said Today
1. In reference to yesterday when he helped me get pumpkin seeds out and bake pumpkin: "I had fun with Mama yesterday. Pumpkin seeds not ready yet." (The seeds are not, in fact, cooked yet.)
2. He had been wearing his pajama shirt still and suddenly came running into the living room, without his shirt on, yelling "I took my shirt off! Where's mine Broncos shirt? Want wear Broncos shirt!" He's spent the rest of the day wearing his Broncos shirt and cap.
3. When he overheard Chris and I talking about whether my belly button would pop out this pregnancy (it never did last time) he said: "My belly button pop out, my butt falls off!" When I said no, his butt wouldn't fall off, he suggested that maybe his head or hands would fall off. Our friend Sarah had told him on Saturday that if he unscrewed his belly button his butt would fall off.
4. Chris was looking for his wallet so he could go out and do some Christmas shopping tonight. James ran into our bedroom and loudly said: "Mommy stole your wallet!"
5. I helped James make his bed with a down comforter (actually a throw but perfect size for a toddler bed). He proudly told Chris that he had a "fluffy help me" on his bed.
