Ding, Dong, the Cast is Gone!

Yay for the cast being off! James can  (theoretically) walk again, though he hasn't tried yet. Apparently that's normal, but if he's still not walking at all by next Wednesday we have to take him back to the orthopedic office.

Veggie Tales on Baby Vicodin

Tonight James complained that his leg hurt, so he got some Baby Vicodin. Since last night when I tried to give it to him straight he spit it out all over the floor, I made him some "special" chocolate milk. Chris mentioned that he may think that chocolate milk makes him high now. "Dude, have you tried chocolate milk? It's the best, man. Woah." The special milk did have the effect that, when he was done with his pizza, he said "Done" and waved goodbye to his pizza. Then it was time for some singing vegetables.

 Duuuude. Have you ever watched Veggie Tales? I mean, really watched Veggie Tales?

Sock on my nose! He was actually seriously proud of this, and repeated it multiple times.

Baby's First Broken Leg

James has broken his leg. Playing on the trampoline was apparently not so fun for him. Don't worry, he didn't fall off, he just fell on his knees on it and managed to twist his foot or something in a way that broke his leg. He's got a lovely splint on it, and will get a cast at some point. Both his bones in the lower part of his right leg are broken, poor boy! The nice doctor wrote him a prescription for kiddie Vicodin, which he will get to take if he can't sleep from pain. I'll be sure to take good notes, because if he's anything like me or his Uncle Eddie, he'll be pretty entertaining while on the stuff.

Also, he's not a freak- toddlers don't have kneecaps until they're 3 or 4.

Crappy cell phone picture, but boy was he mad about that splint. I had to hold him while they put it on him and he was not pleased.

 Eating pizza on the couch, because when your leg is broken, you should get to eat wherever you want.
