Oh, New Bed, How I Love You (from James)
Papa made me an awesome new bed for my birthday. I'm not really sure what a birthday means, but Mommy said that means I am two now almost and so I can hold up two fingers instead of one for how old I am. I like my new bed. It is so cool. If I hear Mommy or Daddy say the word "bed" or "nap" I run to my bed and crawl right in. I even put myself down for naps sometimes, until the Hound or Fee comes to sniff me. Then I get up and go tell Daddy that they came to sniff me. Usually at this point I get distracted by my cool house (kitchen) and make some tea or food for my saurs. My saurs like tea and food. They eat from a spoon. I have a movie about beeb saurs (baby dinosaurs). I also have a movie about a squirrel. It's a funny squirrel, and there's a phant (elephant) in the movie too. I get to sit on a chair to watch movies. The chair is soft like my bed.
I love my bed so much that I even make Mommy change my diaper on my bed. This morning I was being really cool and just sitting on my bed, with my feet on the floor. It was fun. I was stomping my feet so my cool new shoes would light up. I like my bed. My bed has my new saur from Grandma on it, and my new saur blanket from Aunt Ruth. I like to snuggle with both of those. I also put my new saur jammies on my pillow so I can wear them again when I go to bed tonight. I am wearing a cool new shirt with saurs on it. They are rexes.
I like to tell Mommy that I have a bed, and it has sheets on it. I keep my beeb tops (baby triceratops) in my bed. He poked me in the eye once but then Mommy came and kissed my eye and it was ok so I hugged my tops and we went back to sleep. I also have socks in my bed, because I take them off when I sleep. I put my socks in the hamper this morning because Mommy asked me to, and I like to help. Then I got back on my bed. My bed is cool. I even bring my books into my bed when Mommy isn't looking. She found three of them in there yesterday. I think I need to hide them better, but it is so cool that I have a bed!
